AppShopper is Shutting Down

Hi xxxxx, We have some sad news to share. Unfortunately, AppShopper is shutting down. We've had a great run, getting our legs under us a few months after the launch of Apple's App Store in 2008 but it's not feasible to keep the site up anymore. The largest factor was Apple's decision to remove apps from its affiliate program back in 2018, which eliminated the largest source of revenue for AppShopper. Additionally, the App Store has changed dramatically over the years, with many developers moving to a free-to-download model and adding in-app purchases, decreasing the need to wait for a price drop in order to try an app, one of AppShopper's key features.

If you'd like to keep your app list, there's an export function available on your profile page – just look for the "Download App List" link below your Profile URL (see the area highlighted in yellow in the screenshot below). This will create a CSV file of all of your owned and Wish List apps that you can download to your computer.

We won't be sending out our email newsletters anymore, either. If you'd still like some Apple or app-related news, we'd recommend signing up for the newsletters from our sister sites, MacRumors and TouchArcade. You can sign up for the MacRumors newsletter here – it's sent out each Thursday and focuses on Apple news and rumors. You can sign up for the TouchArcade newsletter here – it's sent out once a month and focuses on mobile games.

AppShopper will shut down on June 30, 2021. All user accounts and data will be deleted then, so please be sure to download your app list before then if you want it.

Apple revolutionized the world of mobile phones with the iPhone and the App Store has been a huge part of that. We've loved seeing the explosion and growth of apps over the years and we hope you've enjoyed it with us!
